Our Projects

Help is only right if it brings lasting change. That is why all projects, cooperations and measures are carefully evaluated by the Brainlab Social Program before they are implemented. Below you can find information on some worthwhile causes we have contributed to through our partnership with the foundation.

Tanzania
Advanced technology. Greater empowerment.

Brainlab donated a new Kick surgical navigation system to the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute in Tanzania. The donation includes expert hands-on training, empowering the doctors onsite in the management of neurosurgical disorders and procedures. View project

Ukraine Urgent needs. Quick support.

Extraordinary situations require extraordinary measures: Although it is not one of the organization’s defined focus areas, the Brainlab Social Program provided quick and unbureaucratic help in the face of the acute situation in Ukraine. For example, urgently needed medical equipment such as dressing material was provided where it was needed most.

Malawi Less invasive. More effective.

With the donation of a new Kick surgical navigation system, the Right.Brain Foundation e.V. provided Malawi’s first neurosurgical navigation system. The head physician of the neurosurgery department in Blantyre anticipated that this would lead to significantly fewer invasive procedures.

Projects close to home

The Brainlab Social Program works on causes all over the world, but we also focus on making an impact in our own communities in Munich.

FabLab München e.V.
Advanced technology.
Greater empowerment.

With support from Brainlab, two Making /MINT spaces launched in March 2025 at primary schools in Munich’s Messestadt district. Run by FabLab München e.V., the weekly workshops introduce students in grades 2–4 to topics like coding, 3D modeling, electronics and creative building. The goal: spark curiosity and excitement for technology through playful, hands-on experiences. These kids build skills and confidence that they’ll take with them well beyond the classroom.

S.V. Schwarz WeißNew beginnings. Same commitment.

After relocating to Munich-Riem, S.V. Schwarz Weiß München rebuilt its youth soccer program from scratch. Today, seven teams and around 110 kids—most with migration backgrounds—train under volunteer coaches in an inclusive, community-driven environment. By providing new team jerseys, Brainlab is proud to support a club that shares our values of inclusion, teamwork and long-term commitment to youth development.
